Raifu's purchased seed list

Raifu
Administrator
This post was updated on .
This is my havelist for seeds that I have purchased.

This list is outdated, although it does contain all my applicable seeds purchased. I do not, however, have all the seeds listed here anymore, as I have planted, given away, or traded several of them since the last update. Please consider trading from my saved seed list before this one. However, if this list interests you particularly, know that I probably have more seeds from my Sand Hill Preservation Center purchases than for most things (since they give a lot of seeds). I do not have bulk amounts of any of these items (unless I specifically say so). Many of these I have not grown myself, yet.

Key:
• %%: Items that have %% after the name seem that they could have been accidentally cross-pollinated before I obtained them, because I grew them out and saw differences between what I grew and what was advertised.
• F1, F2, …: Items with F1 in the name are first generation hybrids; F2 is a second generation hybrid, etc. (otherwise, they should be open-pollinated, heirlooms or such).
seeds, and I want to give one away.
• ~: Items that have ~ after the name are ones I planted, but they didn't grow, or such.
• O: Where I purchased the seeds (and/or the brand of the seeds), and the year or date I purchased them. If specifically specified, it may say where I got the seeds (rather than where I purchased or ordered them).
• P: packed for the year (used with O:).
• !!: Out of seeds
• !: Not available for trade (but feel free to ask, just in case I change my mind).

• !!Creole—Received for free from the owner of timeless-tomatoes.com in the fall of 2015 (just because she was nice—they weren't free seeds that came with an order). I did, however, email her some questions about the strain she carries. This kind is a reddish orange color. It's not the Celebrity-type Creole.
• !!D'Jena Lee—Free gift from timeless-tomatoes.com in 2016.
• !!Delicious—These came from a Dollar Tree pack of seeds packaged for 2015. However, most of the plants are potato leaf, and one is regular leaf. Delicious is supposed to be regular leaf. So, these must have either crossed or been mixed up with other seeds, or maybe they're mutants.
• !!Early Wonder—Purchased from timeless-tomatoes.com on 22 Jul 2015.
• !!ess3—3 seeds; O: ess2
• !!Green Pear—O: rareseeds.com, 2 Dec 2015. Out of store-bought seeds as of March 2016. I saved plenty of seeds in 2016. In 2017, I grew it again, but didn’t save seeds from the plant that I grew (most of them had BER in 2017); however, some tomatoes reseeded in 2017 that ended up looking like Green Pear (and none of them had BER), and I saved seeds from those.
• !!Indigo Rose—O: 25 Dec 2014
• !!Jackie—O: doublehelixfarms.com, 23 Feb 2016
• !!Jerusalem—O: timeless-tomatoes.com, 10 November 2016 (I ordered these for someone else; hence them not being for trade—I just have them here so I don’t forget that I ordered them.)
• !!Kellogg’s Beefsteak—This came from a source such as American Seed, Lilly Miller, or Ferry Morse. Possibly supposed to have been labeled Kellogg's Breakfast (but the label clearly said Kellogg's Beefsteak). The tomato seems to match the criteria of Kellogg's Breakfast.
• !!Large Red and Black Boar—Gave to Gardenboy on tomatoville.com on 18 Feb 2016, and some seeds at least to tomatopassion on davesgarden.com earlier. Received as a free gift from mariannasheirloomseeds.com with my order, which arrived on 7 Jan 2016.
• !!Marianna's Peace—O: totallytomatoes.com, 13 May 2015. All remaining seeds planted in March, 2016
• !!McGee—O: victoryseeds.com, 17 Jul 2015. In 2016, this was one of the best-tasting tomatoes I’ve grown (and one of the more acidic); it didn’t taste the same in drier, looser soil in 2017, but it wasn’t bad.
• !!Pink Trifele Russian %%—O: amishlandseeds.com, 27 Jan 2016. All seeds planted in March, 2016. They turned out to be a pink plum/Roma-type tomato (no ribbing; not large). Good taste. Productive, but not early.
• !!Pomodoro San Marzano—Came from American Seed, Lilly Miller, Ferry Morse or somewhere like that. They are muscular-looking, firm tomatoes.
• !!Pruden’s Purple—O: rareseeds.com, 1 May 2015 (the plant I grew had variegated leaves on one of its branches); I saved plenty of my own seeds (at least some of them may be crossed with a Brandywine-type tomato, though—those descended from the third tomato with the variegated stripe; I should probably try seeds from the other two fruits that I saved)
• !!Santiam—O: timeless-tomatoes.com, 30 Jul 2015

• !!Sweet Orange Cherry—O: dianeseeds.com, 1 Jan 2016. All remaining seeds planted in March 2016. Considering the late planting it did well in 2016. It was my earliest variety, and one of the best, in 2017 (with improved flavor over 2016).

• !Huevos De Toro—Purchased under the translated name of Couilles De Taureau; O: renaissancefarms.org, 3 Jun 2017 (plant in 2018; most prolific tomato for sjamesNorway of Tomatoville; heat-tolerant; very flavorful; large size; indeterminate; said to be 80 to 85 days for Tatiana, but it sounds like it may be large enough and prolific enough to make up for the later DTM if it’s not earlier for me; Note: I didn’t know that the name translated to mean ‘Rocky Mountain Oysters’! I definitely wouldn’t have bought it.) N: Emat
